Kateri House

This our mission centre in Prince Albert, SK. We meet individuals here for spiritual counseling, have groups for catechesis, meet people for sacramental prep and pray with people.

Our Core Mission Team

Roy Wilmhoff and Waltera Van Gennip form our core mission team. In 2015 Waltera celebrates forty years on mission in Indigenous communities. Roy is sent by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and has been on mission in Prince Albert for eleven years.

Easter Baptism Celebration

At the old Holy Cross Church on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation where we are Pastoral Administrators. The blessing of the water for a baptism ceremony at Easter when 15 people were baptised.

Kateri’s Companions in Ministry is a lay mission association within the Roman Catholic Church. We are named after Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680).

We are committed to service in First Nations communities. Our mission is one of hope and healing. We seek to live with practical, persevering love rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Kateri’s Companions in Ministry Inc. is a non-profit organization, “trading as” Kateri House. We are a registered charity, and are dependent entirely on donations.
